Today we summarize our mission as “A World Connected”, understanding that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are essential components of a healthy global society. Diversity provides opportunity to learn from and appreciate one another. Equity ensures everyone is treated fairly and has opportunity to individually thrive and succeed. Inclusion lifts the voices and experiences of marginalized people to be expressed, fostering collaboration between all people. Belonging prioritizes acceptance, affirmation, and celebration of each person, centering those whose intersecting identities are or have been historically excluded or silenced.
