With over 50 years of experience in Florida’s tourism industry, Hal knows the industry like no other. He is a graduate of the University of Florida (1949, BAJ Journalism) where he was elected to the yearbook “Hall of Fame”. His experiences include: Past president, chairman and/or trustee of many civic and professional organizations including SKAL, AdFed, Florida Tourism Association and several Chambers of Commerce; Currently member of Broward Leadership Council, American Diabetes Association, Board of Directors Women in Distress; Chair, Advisory Board for University of Florida, Center for Tourism Research and Development. Hal has been the recipient of many awards including the AdFed Silver Medal; selection to the Florida Tourism Hall of Fame; “Alumnus of Distinction” of the University of Florida School of Journalism and Communications; the HSMAI Award of Excellence; and the “Community Volunteer of the Year” for Women in Distress.
